Tips for Clonmel Races

Clonmel stages both Flat and National Hunt racing in County Tipperary. Fixtures have taken place there for over 150 years and is just a mile from the Town Centre so it’s easily accessible.

Course: Almost in the shape of a rectangle, it is a mile and a quarter circuit. There is a stiff uphill finish of about two and a half furlongs so stamina comes to the fore late in the day for our tips.

Draw Bias: There isn’t any draw bias for our tips to consider.

Feature Race: The Clonmel Oil Chase is a Grade 2 race over two and a half miles which takes place on November every year. It has been won by some brilliant horses in the past including Beef Or Salmon in 2002 and Sizing Europe in 2012.
