14/1 Nap winner

The best bet of the day ran in the very competitive 7f at Ascot live on ITV and I really liked Grey’s Monument due to the forecast rain. He’s a horse that loves the mud and despite having to carry top weight, I felt if he could get away well and grab that far side rail he’d take some pegging back. Thankfully, that’s exactly what happened and he was never for catching in the hands of in form Joe Leavy who is a jockey worth following at present.

£624 Lucky 15 profit

It was nearly a mega day as we also landed three out of four winners on the Lucky 15. Holloway Boy (11/2) found his way back to the winner’s enclosure, before Grey’s Monument (14/1) did the business, while David Menuisier’s Master Builder (10/3) came from last to first to get the first three up. Sadly, French Duke could only finish second.
