Scotland-based handler Jim Goldie trains in the village of Uplawmoor in East Renfrewshire and as such, it’s a substantial journey down to Southwell. He’s set to send just one runner on the 572-mile round trip on Tuesday and connections surely won’t want to come home empty-handed. Inanna only joined Jim Goldie’s yard in August and he quickly found the key to her, as she hit a nice run of form throughout the autumn. The daughter of Acclamation is clearly adaptable with regards to trip and has shown decent form over five, six and seven furlongs.
Returning to winning ways over the minimum trip at Carlisle in September, she was then only narrowly denied when second over 7f at Musselburgh four days later. Another victory soon followed, as the four-year-old won nicely over 6f at Hamilton after that.
Her most recent run came at Musselburgh and she managed to finish third off this mark, beaten by less than a length. It’s a bit of a concern that Goldie’s filly is yet to place in 11 starts on the all-weather but she was a fair fourth here off 84 back in April 2023.
Seb Spencer’s runner Crocodile Power has won three of his last four starts and he looks well set to be in the mix once again. Fellow Scottish raider Kats Bob was a close second off his current mark at Newcastle last time and is therefore entitled to go close.
