US Horse Racing Tips: The Best Value Outsiders at the Breeders’ Cup 2020

Belmont Park, Breeders Cup Day

The best part about betting on outsiders for the Breeders’ Cup 2020 is that all you need is one winner to make it pay. It is possible to back 10 outsiders and have 9 losers. However, that 1 winner will make it all worthwhile. The hard part is finding that illusive winner but that is why we are here. Here are our four best value outsiders for Breeders’ Cup 2020.

Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf

Graham Motion’s ALDA looks too big a price to ignore and she is well worth an each way play. She got her fractions wrong in the Grade 1 Natalma Stakes at Woodbine when runner-up behind Lady Speightspeare. Held up in rear, they went no gallop up front which turned the race into a sprint finish. She produced an excellent turn of foot turning into the stretch which resulted in a BRIS Late Pace figure of 104. That figure is electric and with a better ride she is a massive player here.

Breeders’ Cup Juvenile

You need to look for a pure grinder to win this race and one that certainly fits the bill is ROMBAUER. Beaten three parts of a length in the 8.5f Grade 1 American Pharoah Stakes by Get Her Number when last seen, he is sure to get the trip. He made an eye-catching move in the mid-part of the race and looked a winner at one point. There is great value to be had in this race because Jackies Warrior is very skinny odds. He has never gone two turns and looks vulnerable under these conditions.

Breeders’ Cup Classic

BY MY STANDARDS is too big a price to ignore in the feature race of the meeting. Punters are going to gravitate toward the Bob Baffert runners given his record in the race. We have no idea what sort of shape his runners will be in with all the allegations coming out of late. Tiz The Law is a superb animal but takes on the older horses here and looks vulnerable. Authentic might get into a battle up front early which will not suit him. Our selection is yet to run a bad race, should track the pace and might be the one to take advantage in the home straight.

Breeders’ Cup Turf

The Europeans have a terrific record in this contest and although Magical could take all the beating, there is value in the price of DONJAH. This German import made short work of Laccario two races back, and that colt went on to finish second in the Grade 1 Turf Classic at Belmont. She has raced almost exclusively against the boys and will appreciate a good pace to aim at around here. She has lowered the colours of top class horses like Barney Roy already and is underestimated here.
