A key form guide is last month's conditions event over C&D, in which a race-fit Kailani beat Dandy Style, with No Tune in third place. Christopher Head's filly, who was having only a third run and a first since May, may fare best of the trio this time. However, preference is for MY CALYX CEN, a progressive sort who made all to win at Pau following a five-month break last time and he looks the type who could make further progress. Archie Watson's Shaatir hasn't been out since finishing down the field in the Coventry at Royal Ascot but he'd looked a useful prospect when winning at Lingfield and he's an interesting runner. Bourgin needs to raise his game in this company but he's unexposed and will likely improve, while best of the remainder could be Recontre Sportive. [Richard Young]
