Verdict

Anashkaya looks a good starting point on the back of an improved effort over 1m here in January, where she beat Apolide in convincing fashion, with My Way back in fifth. She's won over this longer trip and seems sure to go well with Christophe Soumillon renewing the partnership. However narrow preference is for Andre Fabre's SEGALL, who created a fine impression when winning on his debut and, although he couldn't match that in two subsequent outings on testing ground, he's the type physically to do better this year and this surface may help. Lethal Beauty turned in his best effort following a two-month break last time and is a danger, while AW winners Reveur and Al Rateel have the scope to make further progress. Sorbetto, who chased home My Calyx Cen (due to run earlier on the card) at Pau last time, is best of the remainder. [Richard Young]
