Tips for Killarney Races

Located in County Kerry, Killarney racecourse hosts both Flat and National Hunt racing.

Course: Both the Flat and National Hunt courses are sharp, left handed, nine furlong ovals. The short run in on the jumps circuit and tight bends both mean our Killarney tips lean towards nippy horses with a good turn of foot.

Draw Bias: All Killarney races over distances of a mile or further, meaning there is no draw bias to consider for our tips.

Feature Race: The feature race at Killarney is the Listed Ruby Stakes, run over a mile in August.

How to Get There

Air - Kerry (16km). Helicopter landing available if arranged in advance
Bus - Regular service from Dublin, Cork and Limerick to Killarney tel: 00353 (0) 18 366 111
Road - 96km NW of Cork and 32km SE of Tralee. From Killarney, take the N71 through the town and towards Muckross. Just outside the town, turn right onto Ross Road, and the racecourse is 1km down on your left hand side.
Rail - Killarney served regularly by trains from Dublin Heuston
